About Us

Help-U-Bridge, LLC was founded in 2012 to serve people with a disability, illness, or those going through a life transition—as well as their caregivers—by creating personalized, cooperative interactions based on mutual respect. By using a person's strengths and relationships, support is provided through in-home and community supports. Help-U-Bridge provides growth opportunities to help individuals reach their highest potential, function independently within their community, and enhance their life satisfaction.

Our Team

We are a collective of individuals from diverse experiences and perspectives. We strive to be inclusive, professional, creative, culturally competent, ever-learning, and fun-loving. We are dreamers of a world of social equality and inclusivity. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals are encouraged to apply for positions on our team and to receive our services as clients.

 

All of our staff are highly educated and trained in areas specific to your needs. In addition to having clear background checks, and being certified in First Aid and CPR, additional training is provided to meet the regulations of ODP (Office of Developmental Programs) as well the latest in technology and techniques. 

 

All staff are supervised by masters-degreed Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Management who have decades of experience with individuals with varying abilities in a variety of settings across the lifespan. We are fully insured and have an ADA-compliant, wheelchair-accessible van.

Rachael has been a practicing Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist since 2010. She received her undergraduate and graduate degree in Recreational Therapy (RT) from Temple University. Rachael has experience with a variety of individuals and settings, including inpatient mental health, community-based traumatic brain injury services, older adult day program, and home and community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rachael has been an advocate for individuals with disAbilities and Recreational Therapy in varying roles including traumatic brain injury support group leader, leadership roles in the local RT organization, RT internship supervisor, as well as presenter to community members and professionals on various topics including brain injury prevention, healthy living, community-based RT and sense of belonging through social networks.

 

Rachael’s role with Help-U-Bridge was as Clinical Director for 8.5 years. In 2022, Rachael secured a SEED grant from the Philadelphia Autism Project for a recreational therapy healthy living program for young adults on the spectrum living within Philadelphia. Over the years, she has evolved this pilot group of 7 community members with intellectual and developmental disabilities into Building Bridges for Life, a recreational social group with over 50 participants living within Philadelphia and 3 surrounding counties. As of January 2026, Rachael’s position shifted to Help-U-Bridge’s Owner and Director. Rachael continues to actively collaborate with multiple community organizations to expand and improve recreational and social opportunities. She also provides consulting to organizations on inclusiveness and accessibility, to small businesses that provide recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and contracts for recreational therapy programming in other organizations’ day programs. Rachael is honored to have Diane's trust in continuing Help-U-Bridge’s legacy and is looking forward to advancing Help-U-Bridge’s vision and mission through community-based Recreational Therapy.

Diane has worked with individuals with disabilities for over 30 years.  She received her master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Temple University and has been working as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for over 27 years.  

 

Diane's treatment philosophy has evolved through her many years of experience and she found providing recreational therapy within the community to be most rewarding and satisfying, especially in regards to long-lasting outcomes. Having run two successful businesses earlier in her career, Diane's entrepreneurial spirit drove her to create her own recreational therapy based agency and so Help-U-Bridge, LLC was developed to "bridge the gap between home and community."

 

In addition to enjoying her day-to-day work with individuals she serves, Diane also enjoys supporting young professionals gaining experience in the therapeutic recreation field. Over the years, she has supervised over 14 intern students while completing their required 15-week internship. She was awarded the New Jersey / Eastern Pennsylvania Therapeutic Recreation Association 2023 Excellence in Therapeutic Recreation Award.

Marly has been a practicing Board Certified Music Therapist since 2019. Marly provides individual and group Music Therapy services as well as individualized home and community supports as a Direct Support Professional with Help-U-Bridge. She is also a Music Lesson Instructor and has experience in Early Intervention Music Therapy. Marly enjoys supporting individuals in finding new hobbies and interests, and exploring personal growth and development.

Gabby has been a practicing Recreational Therapist since 2023. Gabby provides individualized home and community supports as well as individual Recreational Therapy services. Gabby has prior experience with older adults within a skilled nursing facility and memory care, as well as individuals in a residential mental and behavioral health facility. She is also an active volunteer with the PA Center for Adapted Sports (PCAS) as well as a PCAS representative on the PA Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) committee.

Holly has been a practicing Recreational Therapist since 2006. Holly provides individualized home and community supports as well as individual Recreational Therapy services. Holly has prior experience with a variety of individuals and settings, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, mental health, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and physical limitations within inpatient and home based settings. She is also an active volunteer with the West Caln Township on the Parks and Recreation Activity Board and with the VA Medical Center.
