Job Summary
We are seeking Recreational Therapists and Allied Health Professionals to develop and implement therapeutic recreational programs tailored to diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioral health challenges within community settings. The ideal candidate will utilize a variety of community based therapeutic modalities to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. This role requires an understanding of behavioral health, disabilities, and recreation modalities. This role is responsible for planning and implementing individualized goal-based community activities incorporating active choice making, socialization opportunities, and enhancing leisure opportunities under the direction of the Recreational Therapy Director.

Duties
Facilitate community therapeutic recreation programming that incorporates a variety of modalities suited to client needs and goals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper recording of progress notes and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with team members in the coordination and facilitation of care plans.
Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols during all recreational activities.
Use of personal vehicle while implementing community engagement goals with clients within Philadelphia and the surrounding counties
Experience
Experience working with people with disabilities
Experience in individualized recreational modalities
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Position Minimal Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Reliable and insured car
Bachelor’s Degree in health-related field
Preferred Requirements
Degree in Recreational Therapy
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Experience working with individuals with ID/DD and physical disabilities
Experience in community engagement and inclusion
